Elliot Lee leaves Wrexham after a four-year spell at the Racecourse Ground, during which he made 152 appearances and scored 41 times. The midfielder, who was into the final year of his deal, found minutes hard to come by last season.
Lee's performances for Wrexham earned him individual accolades, including selection in the 2022/23 National League Team of the Year and the League Two Team of the Season in 2023. However, as the club moved up the football pyramid, his game time was significantly reduced.
Boss Phil Parkinson paid tribute to Lee, saying: "I'd like to thank Elliot for what he has done for this football club. He has been a great player for us here at Wrexham and has made a significant contribution to the club's rise through the divisions." Parkinson also pitched Lee to possible suitors, with League One club Sheffield Wednesday understood to be interested in bringing him to Hillsborough.
