Van de Pavert, a 20-year-old right-back, hopes to develop as much as possible at Jong Ajax this season and move up to the first team. He was originally loaned to SC Cambuur this season, but the loan was terminated after two months due to personal circumstances.

The young defender has been close to making his debut in the first team on two occasions, but it did not come to fruition. "I would have come on twice, but it didn't happen," he said in the interview. "That was a shame, but my debut in the first team is still to come."

Van de Pavert believes Jong Ajax should have won their match against Vitesse, which ended in a 1-1 draw. "We're doing better than last year, but we need to win matches like this," he said. "We had a chance to win against TOP Oss last week, but we gave it away. That's the story of Jong Ajax, and it needs to change."

Van de Pavert is now focused on developing his skills at Jong Ajax and pushing for a first team debut. His next opportunity to make an impact will come in the next match for Jong Ajax.
