Globo Esporte Futebol reports that the Conselho Deliberativo of Vasco will hold two virtual meetings on October 15 and 22 to analyze reports on the management of ex-presidents Alexandre Campello and Jorge Salgado. The meetings will serve to analyze reports on the cases of the administrations of the two ex-presidents.
Jorge Salgado is threatened with exclusion and has a criminal process against members of the commission. The Comissão de Inquérito recommends the expulsion of Jorge Salgado from the club, citing his status as a great benefactor of the club and predecessor of Pedrinho.
Alexandre Campello's case will be judged on October 15, and he is accused of extending a contract with Kappa, a sports equipment supplier. Campello was questioned by the commission and justified the agreement by citing the transfer of dividends to base categories and difficulties in finding alternatives during the Covid-19 pandemic. The vote in the commission was divided, with three votes for Campello's acquittal, two for his expulsion, and two for a six-month suspension.
The two commissions of inquiry were formed in June 2024 and concluded their reports in the last days. The judgment of the reports follows two criteria: for cases of beneméritos and conselheiros, the vote is by the Conselho Deliberativo, and for cases of only sócios, the decision is made by the president of the administrative board (Pedrinho).
The next step is the judgment of the reports on October 15 and 22, with the Conselho Deliberativo voting on the cases of Salgado and other beneméritos and conselheiros, and Pedrinho making the decision on the cases of only sócios.
