Christopher Nkunku's decision to leave AC Milan was unexpected, even for the player himself. In a recent interview, Nkunku explained that he couldn't understand the reason behind his departure from the Italian club.
Nkunku has since found happiness at RB Leipzig, where he has played in both games of the current season in Germany. The midfielder is content with his decision to return to the club, stating "Ik ben gelukkig en heb de juiste keuze gemaakt.
Nkunku's return to Leipzig is a significant move, given his previous success at the club. He played for RB Leipzig from 2019 to 2023, scoring 70 goals and providing 57 assists in 174 games. The club has a purchase option in the loan deal with AC Milan, which could see Nkunku remain at Leipzig beyond this season.
