La Liga has announced new spending limits, giving FC Barcelona a substantial increase in financial freedom. The club can now spend around €582 million, a rise of approximately €150 million from the €432 million spent in the previous season. This improvement is not solely due to the new spending limits, as Barcelona has also reduced non-sporting costs. The club has also benefited from increased revenue from VIP boxes in the revamped Camp Nou, as well as the addition of a new ring in the stadium, which has generated additional income. As a result, Barcelona is no longer operating above the allowed limits, creating more room for manoeuvre on the transfer market.
