FC Twente has rejected a 20 million euro offer for 22-year-old player Sondre Ørjasæter. Ørjasæter was signed by FC Twente from Sarpsborg 08 for 5 million euros last year. He has played 40 official matches, scoring 5 goals and providing 13 assists.
Other clubs are interested in Ørjasæter, with one willing to pay FC Twente around 20 million euros for his services. This would have broken the Enschedese transfer record. However, the club has rejected the offer, citing the absence of financial necessity to sell Ørjasæter following the sale of left-back Mats Rots.
The club's leadership has decided to prioritise the sporting interests of the team. Ørjasæter remains contracted to FC Twente until mid-2029 and is currently valued at 7 million euros by Transfermarkt.
