Besiktas president Serdal Adali has vowed to sign Joe Willock in January, claiming the Newcastle midfielder has already chosen a house in Turkey. This comes after Willock's impressive start to the season, which has seen him score three goals in seven games. The 27-year-old midfielder has been in resurgent form since entering the final year of his contract, which has made him a target for several clubs.
According to Adali, Willock's family had even picked out a house in Istanbul ahead of a proposed summer move to Besiktas. The club's president also revealed that they had gone to see Willock in person twice and had video calls with him at least ten times. Despite Willock's current form under new Newcastle boss Matthias Jaissle, Adali remains confident that he will join the Turkish club in January.
Given his contract situation, Willock is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with overseas clubs from January.
