Tika de Jonge, a player for FC Groningen, achieved a hole-in-one on a par-3 hole of 170 meters during the vacation. He made the feat while golfing with his teammate David van der Werff, who they golfed with for four days in a row. The hole-in-one occurred on the penultimate hole of their trip.
The chance of a hole-in-one for a regular golfer is 1 in 12,500, while for a professional it is 1 in 3,000. De Jonge was left stunned by his achievement, saying he became "completely crazy" upon realising what he had done. He believes the experience is more remarkable than scoring a goal in a football match, as the chances of him achieving another hole-in-one are extremely small. De Jonge has not made many goals in his career, but is confident he will score at least one goal this season.
