The hosts made the perfect start when Meißner took down a long ball and, from around 30 metres, sent an extraordinary volley over Jonas Urbig and into the top corner to give Osnabrück a 1-0 lead after just five minutes. However, Bayern responded and, after a spell of pressure, Kane levelled in the 18th minute after Robin Fabinski could only head a cross into his path.
Bayern controlled the second half without conceding a single shot from Osnabrück. In the 73rd minute Michael Olise, fed by substitute Lennart Karl, skipped past Fabinski inside the box and lifted a delicate finish over Jonas Krumrey to make it 3-1. With four minutes remaining, Aleksandar Pavlović was fouled by Jannik Müller inside the box and the referee awarded a penalty. Kane stepped up and sent his effort into the bottom corner, sending Krumrey the wrong way and completing his brace to make it 4-1, his 148th goal in Bayern colours in his 150th appearance.
