Zidane's first training session with the French national team took place on Monday, with the team preparing for their first four matches in the League of Nations. The session was attended by only 12 players, with Zidane taking the opportunity to speak with the Bayern Munich attacker, Olise.
Dembélé and Mbappé, two of France's top players, did not participate in the training session. Dembélé had played for Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday against Olympique de Marseille, while Mbappé had played for Real Madrid on Sunday against Atlético de Madrid.
Zidane is the new face of the French national team, following 14 years of Didier Deschamps in the role. The French national team will face Turkey on September 25, Belgium on September 28, Italy on October 2, and Belgium again on October 5.
