Ajax and Werder Bremen have agreed on the transfer of 23-year-old midfielder Youri Regeer. The German club has also secured an option to buy the player. Regeer's departure from Ajax comes after he struggled to establish himself in the team, particularly following the arrival of Sofyan Amrabat. VoetbalPrimeur reports that Regeer had previously left Ajax in 2023 to join FC Twente for a reported €1 million, before returning to Amsterdam in January 2025 for around €4 million. He remains contracted to Ajax until mid-2029, unless Werder Bremen exercises their option to buy at the end of the season.
