Willem II defeated Sparta Rotterdam in a recent match, with Voetbal International reporting that the club has signed Belgian goalkeeper Maxime Delanghe on loan from Cercle Brugge. Delanghe, 25, is set to replace injured goalkeeper Thomas Didillon-Hödl, who was injured during the first match of the new football year. Didillon-Hödl was usually the first choice of coach John Stegeman, but was replaced by Karst de Leeuw for three matches. Delanghe is a product of the PSV youth academy, having left the club in 2022 to join Lierse SK and eventually Cercle Brugge. He will spend the remainder of the season at Willem II, tasked with solving the problems in the Tilburg goal.
