Willem II has parted ways with coach John Stegeman, following a thorough evaluation and discussions with the club. The players were informed about Stegeman's departure on Tuesday, and the club has now officially announced the news. According to the statement, the club sees "onvoldoende perspectief om de samenwerking voort te zetten", which translates to "insufficient perspective to continue the collaboration". Stegeman had been in charge of the team since the start of last season and had led the club to promotion via the play-offs. However, Willem II has struggled this season, with just two points from their first nine games and a dismal defensive record.
