Manager Unai Emery has confirmed that Aston Villa have received offers for Ollie Watkins. The 30-year-old England international is wanted by Saudi club Al-Hilal. Emery wants to keep Watkins but admits the striker could leave Villa Park. Watkins has scored 108 goals for Villa since joining from Brentford in 2020 and is the club's record Premier League scorer.
Villa are continuing to sell key players, with Ezri Konsa moving to Arsenal and Morgan Rogers joining Chelsea. Youri Tielemans and Lucas Digne also left the club this summer. If Watkins and goalkeeper Emi Martinez leave, Villa will have sold six of the starting XI which won the Europa League two months ago. Watkins' potential departure would be a significant blow to Villa, who are preparing for their Premier League opener at Brighton on Sunday. The striker will not be in the squad for the match as he has only had one training session after returning from a post-World Cup break.
