Vito van Crooij has left NEC to join Willem II, with the two clubs agreeing a definitive transfer deal. The 30-year-old forward has signed a one-year contract with the Tilburgers, who are pleased to have secured his services. VoetbalPrimeur report that Van Crooij has a history of playing in the Eredivisie, having started his career at VVV-Venlo and also playing for PEC Zwolle, Sparta Rotterdam, Al-Wehda and NEC.
Technisch directeur Freek Heerkens is quoted as saying that Van Crooij brings a wealth of experience to the club and is capable of playing on multiple positions. Heerkens believes that Van Crooij will add something to Willem II's selection and is pleased that the club has been able to secure his signature.
