Jan Wuytens, a former assistant coach at RC Genk, describes Arokodare as having a very special profile. "He's a unique young man," Wuytens says. Wuytens worked alongside Arokodare at RC Genk and notes that the striker initially took time to adjust to Genk's style of play.
Wuytens explains that Arokodare really came into his own in his second season at Genk. "We focused more on training for set pieces and shooting from inside the box. Tolu was unstoppable in those situations," Wuytens says. Arokodare is an excellent target man and also quite quick, according to Wuytens.
As a coach, you need to find the right note to strike with Arokodare to get consistent performances from him, Wuytens says. If you can do that, you'll get a killer on the pitch, he adds.
