In a recent interview with ESPN, Tengstedt expressed his desire to play European football with Go Ahead Eagles. He also spoke about the challenges he faced after breaking his foot for the second time, saying: "I was really frustrated during that period. However, it has also been good for me. I've had a lot of time to work on my body, and I feel stronger than before my injury. I'm happy about that, and things are going better than ever." Despite his current form, Tengstedt finds it difficult to maintain his level in the competitive league with many talented players.
