Tedesco's departure marks the fifth time in his coaching career that he has been sacked. The 41-year-old had been appointed as Bologne coach on June 2, 2026, replacing Vincenzo Italiano. Despite his experience, Tedesco was unable to turn the club's fortunes around.
Raffaele Palladino has been appointed as Tedesco's replacement, signing a contract with Bologne until June 2029. Palladino has previously managed Atalanta, Monza, and Fiorentina, and will be tasked with restoring the club's fortunes in Serie A.
