Talleres have confirmed that Omar De Felippe will be the new coach of the team, replacing Jorge Sampaoli. The previous coach lasted just 81 days in the role, with only one victory in seven games. De Felippe will debut on 2026-09-04 against San Lorenzo.
De Felippe has a long and impressive career in Argentine football, having coached several teams including Olimpo, Quilmes, Independiente, Vélez, Newell's, Atlético Tucumán, Platense, and Ferroviario, where he won the Copa Argentina in 2024. He also won the first division of Ecuadorian football in 2015 with Emelec.
The club's decision to appoint De Felippe comes as they face a challenging period, with the pressure of fans high due to Belgrano's recent championship win and a crisis within the club following the resignation of vice-president Rodrigo Escribano.
