According to VoetbalPrimeur, Steuckers was linked to FC Utrecht and AZ this summer, but has now chosen to join Bochum in Germany. The Belgian attacker had a difficult season at Genk, playing no minutes in the Jupiler Pro League. He previously played for STVV before joining Genk in 2024.

Bochum, who are currently struggling in the second tier, have taken Steuckers on loan for the remainder of the season. The German club has an option to buy the attacker at the end of the season, giving them the opportunity to make the move permanent.
