Romain Del Castillo has ended his five-year spell at Brest by joining Osasuna in the Spanish Liga. The 30-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the option of a further year. Del Castillo has played 151 matches for Brest, scoring 30 goals and providing 31 assists. He was still a regular starter for the Breton side in the opening two matches of this season, netting against Le Mans.

L'Équipe Football reports that Brest will receive 1 million euros from the transfer, with the possibility of an additional 450,000 euros in bonuses. The club may also earn 15% of the profits if Del Castillo is sold on in the future. The Frenchman was formed at OL and has now moved on from Brest, where he played a key role in the side's successful 2023-2024 campaign, which saw them finish third in Ligue 1.
