FC Groningen has announced that Noam Emeran, a 23-year-old player, has left the club. Emeran, a product of Manchester United's youth academy, joined FC Groningen in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer. He made 13 appearances in his debut season, which saw the club earn promotion to the Eredivisie.
In his time at Groningen, Emeran's playing time decreased, and he was loaned out to FC Emmen in the second half of the previous season. He made 11 appearances for Emmen, providing two assists. Emeran's international career has been varied, with two games for the French U-16 national team and a stint with the Rwandan national team, where he is still waiting for his debut.
Emeran has also played for Manchester United's U-21 team, making 41 appearances and scoring eight goals and providing three assists. His contract with FC Groningen was set to expire in the summer of 2027, but the club has now terminated the agreement, making him free to join a new club on a transfer deal.
