BBC Football reports that Newcastle United players had previously experienced an unhappy Matthias Jaissle in training in the opening weeks of his reign.
Jaissle's team struggled to gain a foothold against an aggressive Leeds side, with Newcastle losing 56% of their duels in the first half. The visitors were also swarmed in midfield after Jaissle stuck with his preferred two-man pivot, and defenders Malick Thiaw and Sven Botman were bullied by Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who scored twice.
Jaissle has stressed that his "fundamentals" - being physical, intense and competitive in duels - are "non-negotiable" and how his players need to take losing a duel personally. He will now focus on improving his team's performance against in-form Hull City on Saturday, where they will look to be more dominant, have more possession and threaten the opposition more.
