However, the Sweden international has now committed his future to the Premier League side. BBC Football reports that Nottingham Forest had a £38m bid rejected by Spurs for Bergvall, while Aston Villa and Chelsea were also interested in signing the midfielder.
The 20-year-old has played just 45 minutes for Tottenham in the Premier League this season, but has now signed a new deal with the club. Tottenham manager Roberto de Zerbi has spoken about Bergvall's renewal, saying: "I believe his best football is still ahead of him and we want to give Lucas the platform to reach his full potential."
