The 120 million pound deal sees Barcola join Liverpool for the 2026/27 season, with the forward set to become a key player for the club. According to Globo Esporte Futebol, Barcola's arrival is the second most expensive transfer in Liverpool's history, with only Alexander Isak, signed from Newcastle last year for 125 million pounds, surpassing him. In his last season at Paris Saint-Germain, Barcola played 49 games, scoring 13 goals and providing six assists, helping the team win the Champions League title.

Globo Esporte Futebol also reports that Liverpool have made several other signings, including Jeremy Jacquet, a young French defender signed from Rennes for 70 million euros, and Víctor Muñoz, a Spanish midfielder signed from Osasuna for 40 million pounds. Ronald Araújo, a Uruguayan defender on loan from Barcelona, has also joined the club.
