ESPN sources have confirmed that JJ Gabriel, the highly-rated Manchester United attacker, has asked to leave the club before he becomes eligible for a scholarship contract when he turns 16 on October 6. This development comes as a surprise, as United boss Michael Carrick had been preparing to include him in the Carabao Cup squad against Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this week. Gabriel's outstanding displays have carried over to this season, and he marked his UEFA Youth League debut with a hat trick in United's 5-0 win over Sabah last week. The 15-year-old has been attracting massive media attention, and several top clubs, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, and Chelsea, are reportedly interested in signing him.
