Jay Enem, a 1.95m tall striker with Nigerian roots, has made the move to Bologna on Deadline Day. Voetbal International reports that Enem joins the Italian club from Rode Ster Belgrado, where he had a successful spell last season. The 22-year-old, who was born in Amsterdam, had previously played for Venezia in Italy and PAC Omonia on loan in Cyprus.
Enem's move to Bologna comes after a successful season in Serbia, where he scored 10 goals in 17 games for OFK Belgrado. He then joined Rode Ster Belgrado on loan in January, with an option to buy, and impressed with six goals in the second half of the season. Bologna has now paid €6 million for Enem, who will join a team that includes former AZ strikers Jens Odgaard and Jesper Karlsson, as well as Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbyk, who joined on loan from AS Roma this summer.
Enem's move to Bologna will give him the opportunity to continue his development in the Italian top flight. The Dutch striker will be working under the guidance of coach Domenico Tedesco, who took over at the club this summer.
