"Via an agent, there was still something coming in for Suray," he said. "That was a request to talk about a price, but we haven't heard anything from them since."
This development comes after Van Dop stated that the club had given young players two years to improve and then move on to the next level. "Internally, we feel that we've navigated the transfer period well," he said. "We've lost some players, but that's always part of the plan at Go Ahead Eagles."
The club's aandeelhouder (shareholder) was reportedly involved in the decision-making process, with Van Dop saying, "We've told the shareholder that we have a good team, stability in the club, and we're not going to make any more moves."
