Fortaleza have strengthened their squad with the loan signing of Chico da Costa from Cruzeiro. The 31-year-old center-forward joins the Tricolor until the end of the 2026 season. Chico da Costa is the sixth reinforcement signed by Fortaleza in the second transfer window, and he is expected to compete for a starting spot with Miritello in the team.
Globo Esporte Futebol reports that Chico da Costa lost his place in Cruzeiro and has not played since May. He has not scored any goals in 14 appearances for the team, but has previously been a goal-scorer, netting six goals in 20 games for Mirassol in the Série A.
Fortaleza have already signed Neris, Kaio Henrique, Pedro Henrique, and Nathan Fogaça this transfer window, with Jaílson training with the team but yet to be officially announced.
