Samuel Lino, the club's main reinforcement for the current season, has been in a rich vein of form, scoring 11 goals and providing 10 assists in 41 appearances for Flamengo in 2026. The 29-year-old has become a key player for the team, with his mobility and ability to occupy spaces making him a valuable asset.
Lino's improvement has been attributed to his adaptation to the team's style of play under coach Leonardo Jardim, who has praised the player's development. "He (Lino) comes in a special moment," said Jardim. "I think he passed that moment when he doubted himself a lot and associated himself a lot with the value that was paid. Independent of the value you come here, it's always very difficult to play for Flamengo and deal with all the pressure."
Flamengo will look to build on Lino's form when they face Mirassol in a postponed Campeonato Brasileiro match on Wednesday at 19h30 (Brasília time).
