Ledio Carmona, a commentator, has accused Flamengo's president BAP of interfering in Vasco's affairs, specifically regarding the sale of the club's SAF. According to Globo Esporte Futebol, Ledio made the accusation on the Seleção sportv programme on Tuesday. He stated that Flamengo "só erra nesse ponto: se meter onde não é chamado" (only makes a mistake by interfering in other people's business).
Ledio also accused BAP of being selective and only looking out for his own interests, saying "O presidente do Flamengo quer tudo para ele" (the president of Flamengo wants everything for himself). He also questioned the decision not to allow Vasco to play at the Maracanã, calling it "mesquinharia" (pettiness).
Globo Esporte Futebol also reported that Vasco had asked to play at the Maracanã once a week ago, but was not granted permission due to the poor condition of the pitch.
