Feyenoord, PSV, and NEC are making use of a special regulation, allowing them to play their cup matches on a later date. The regulation is specifically for European-playing clubs, enabling them to play their matches at a later time.
Feyenoord, who will play against Viking (away) in the Champions League on 8 December, will have the days after their match against Ajax at home free. PSV has chosen to take the days before their match against AZ (away) off. NEC will play their cup match on 15, 16, or 17 December, after being drawn against Excelsior '31 (away).
Ajax and FC Twente have decided not to postpone their cup matches and will play on the original dates of 1, 2, or 3 December. AZ, who is also active in Europe, will make a decision at a later time. The team of Leeroy Echteld will face HSV Hoek (away) in their cup match.
