Ajax coach Míchel Sánchez has chosen a strong team for the Amsterdam side, with goalkeeper Marc ter Stegen set to start between the posts. However, two key players will miss out on the match: Daley Blind and Steven Berghuis are both available but will not start. Blind suffered a minor injury against Sparta Rotterdam, while Berghuis has recovered from his fitness issues but will still be left out of the starting lineup. The injured Caio Henrique, Kasper Dolberg, Anton Gaaei, Simon Adingra, and Oliver Edvardsen will also not be available for selection.
The match will see Lucas Rosa start at right-back, with Aaron Bouwman returning to the central defensive position and Youri Baas shifting from left-back to the heart of the defence. Owen Wijndal will begin on the left flank.
