Growing up in Guadalajara, a football-loving city in Mexico, Fernandez was drawn to the sport from a young age. His grandmother, who he affectionately calls the love of his life, introduced him to football by giving him a ball to calm him down. Fernandez went on to join the Los Tecos youth academy and has always been a supporter of Chivas, Mexico's most popular club. His greatest hero is Cristiano Ronaldo, whom he admires for his discipline and passion.
Fernandez has also spoken about his knee injuries, which prevented him from achieving his dream of becoming a top footballer. However, he has used these setbacks as an opportunity to focus on acting and discover new passions. When the chance to return to football arose, he trained and prepared himself to resemble an athlete and feel like a footballer once again.
Fernandez made his debut for El Paso Locomotive on 11 July and has spoken about the challenges he faced in his early days. Despite the difficulties, he is determined to give his all in everything he does. He has also expressed his happiness with his current experience and is proud to share his message of discipline and patience with others.
