The Criciúma has maintained its planned approach, with the same coaching staff and most of the same players, according to Thiago Gasparino, the club's football executive. This strategy has yielded positive results, with the team currently sitting in fifth place in the Série B of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

The club has made two signings, with Ronald (volante) arriving on loan from Vitória until the end of the season, and Rômulo (zagueiro) joining from Atlético-MG, with a contract until the end of the Catarinense in 2027.

In contrast, the club has loaned out Heitor Roca to Inter de Limeira until the end of the Série C, and also allowed the departures of Leo Maná, Sandry, Eliel, Samuel Otusanya, and Bidu.
