The team is missing only long-term injury Jayden Addai, with deadline day signings Moise Kean and Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez on the bench. Jean Butez keeps the gloves for now, with Trevoh Chalobah and Yan Couto the only summer arrivals in the starting XI. Maxi Perrone takes over from Luis Milla, while Nico Paz, Assane Diao and Baturina support Tasos Douvikas upfront. Genoa, under coach Daniele De Rossi, have had a dismal start to the season, losing to both Napoli and Lazio without scoring a single goal.
