Bayern München's new coach Vincent Kompany has made a strong start to the Champions League season. The German top club dominated Bodø/Glimt, but Kompany noted that his team initially struggled to break open the game. "As a trainer, you probably never feel that something is perfect," Kompany said in an official club statement. "It was a bit comparable to last weekend against Schalke, because we had to show a lot of patience."
Kompany felt that Bayern could have taken a lead before the break. "We had one or two chances to score in the first half. We didn't get a lot of opportunities, but we had enough good moments," he said. Bayern eventually made the difference in the second half, scoring a crucial goal and gaining momentum. "After that, we made the right goal at the right time and got momentum. The opponent had to put more pressure on and we could benefit from that," Kompany concluded.
