Ousmane Dembélé, a likely contender for the award, has already revealed his top three picks for the prize in an interview with France Football. The Paris Saint-Germain player expects the Ballon d'Or to remain in the hands of a PSG player, naming Kylian Mbappé, Harry Kane, and himself as his favourites.

Dembélé won the award for the first time last year and has now regained his status as a contender after helping PSG win the Champions League this season. He has stated that he would not vote for himself if he had the chance, saying "I? Oh no, I never get involved in such matters. I absolutely do not vote for myself."

Mbappé, who currently plays for Real Madrid, also commented on the award, saying that playing for the best club in the world inevitably leads to being associated with prestigious prizes.
