AZ Without Kees Smit for Several Weeks

AZ will be without midfielder Kees Smit for at least a few weeks, according to trainer Leeroy Echteld in a press conference about the away match against Feyenoord on Saturday evening. This information comes from NOS Voetbal.

The 20-year-old Smit has been struggling to make a top fit impression all season, and his injury in the warm-up of the Jong Oranje match against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday has made things worse. "He was at 80 to 90 percent fitness before heading to Jong Oranje, but unfortunately, he didn't stay that way," Echteld said.

AZ resumes the competition on Saturday evening with an away match against Feyenoord, the current number two in the league. The match will be live on NOS Langs de Lijn on NPO Radio 1 and via a live blog on NOS.nl and in the NOS app, starting at 18:45.
