Atlético Madrid has hit back at Real Madrid coach José Mourinho after he made some contentious comments about referee Miguel Ángel Ortiz during a press conference. The Portuguese coach had printed out pictures of two fouls that he believed should have resulted in red cards for Atlético players Kang-In Lee and Cristian Romero. However, the referee did not give them a red card, and Mourinho appeared to mock him by bringing out a printed A4 sheet at the press conference.
The Madrileense club has now responded to Mourinho's comments by releasing a video that prints out the text 'Stop the intimidation of referees now'. This move comes after Atlético won the derby match 2-1, with Mourinho making some harsh comments about the referee's performance.
