The analysts made their comments on the ESPN show 'Dit Was Het Weekend', where they discussed the 1-0 win for Ajax over AZ. Kwakman stated that he sent a message to Perez during the first half, saying "Waar zitten wij nou naar te kijken?" (Where are we watching now?), highlighting his disappointment with the match. Perez echoed Kwakman's sentiments, saying that the match lacked intensity, ball control, and creativity, with only the first 10 minutes providing some enjoyable football.
The analysts were particularly critical of the number of mistakes made by both teams, with Kwakman stating that the match was characterised by "misverstanden" (misunderstandings) and a lack of intensity. Perez also expressed his disappointment, saying that the match was "in alles van een erbarmelijk niveau" (at a pitiful level in every aspect).
