According to VoetbalPrimeur, Ajax has presented 24-year-old left-winger Simon Adingra as the successor to Mika Godts. Adingra joins on a loan deal from Sunderland, with a buyout option of €16 million. The Ivorian winger has previously played for Brighton & Hove Albion, where he was signed for around €24 million in the summer of 2025. Adingra has made 74 appearances in the Premier League for Sunderland and Brighton, scoring nine goals and providing four assists. He has been out of action this season due to injury. In Amsterdam, Adingra will compete with Abdellah Ouazane and Oliver Edvardsen for a spot in the team.
