Royal Antwerp FC has confirmed that midfielder Jules Ahoka has been sold to Sunderland for approximately 10 million euros, just a year after signing him for around 150,000 euros. This news comes from VoetbalPrimeur.

The 20-year-old Congolese midfielder made a rapid impression at Antwerp, playing 15 games for the Young Reds on the fourth level before making his debut for the first team. Ahoka's physical qualities and ability to win the ball back caught the attention of Sunderland, who have now completed his transfer. This means Ahoka has made the move to the Premier League after just four appearances for Antwerp's first team.

The transfer is a significant financial gain for Antwerp, who received more than 10 million euros for Ahoka. The club had signed him from AC Normands for around 150,000 euros last year. Antwerp is now looking to sign an experienced midfielder to replace Ahoka, with Mauricio Benítez set to be transferred from Boca Juniors for approximately 2.5 million euros.
