Yohan Démont, a 48-year-old former RC Lens player, has parted ways with the club after a nine-month suspension for intimidating an official during a Coupe Gambardella match in December 2025. The suspension was handed down by the Fédération française de football (FFF). Démont had been working as an under-19 coach at the club, having previously held roles as an assistant coach and reserve team coach. He had played over 300 matches for RC Lens between 2005 and 2013.
Démont has spoken about his situation, stating that it's still a bit raw but acknowledging that he fell from a high position. He's now looking to move forward, saying "it's tough, but we have to keep going. There's no reason for it to stop now."
