Bjarte Lunde Aarsheim and Morten Jensen, the Viking's coaching duo, have a decade-long friendship and share the same vision for football and leadership. They don't have a primary coach and an assistant, but rather an equal partnership where decisions are shared and all planning is done together. This idea was born from their own experiences as assistants at the club.

Their unconventional approach led the team to a national title in 2025, ending a 34-year drought. The Viking will compete in the Champions League group stage for the first time in its history and will face Stuttgart in its debut match. The club's CEO, Eirik Bjorno, has praised the work of the two coaches, saying they complement each other well despite having different personalities.

The Viking's debut match against Stuttgart takes place on Tuesday at 13:45 (Brasilia time) away from home.
