The edital establishes the rules for the competitive process of sale of the SAF of Vasco, including the alienation of 90% of the capital social of the SAF. The process gives publicity to the sale and opens space for eventual interested parties to present competing proposals. Marcos Lamacchia's offer, the first to be made, sets the minimum reference for the dispute. Other investors can manifest themselves, even in secret, if they request it.
According to the edital, Marcos Lamacchia has committed to making R$ 500 million in investments for the football, divided into annual installments of R$ 100 million, corrected by the INPC. The resources will be destined exclusively for the football department, including the technical commission, contracts, and players, without the possibility of using them to amortize debts. The proposal also provides for the conversion of the DIP financing granted by the Banco Crefisa to the SAF Vasco, in a value of approximately R$ 80 million, which will quit the debt.
The next step is for other investors to present competing proposals, with the possibility of the sale being finalized if no superior offer is made.
