FC Twente is reportedly close to agreeing a deal with Rosenborg for the transfer of Norwegian midfielder Mathias Kjølø, according to VoetbalPrimeur. The 25-year-old has been struggling for playing time at the Grolsch Veste this season, with VoetbalPrimeur citing that he has been largely relegated to the bench and only receives occasional substitute appearances.

Kjølø is said to have personally agreed to the transfer with Rosenborg, and will not be included in Twente's squad for their upcoming match against SC Cambuur on Sunday evening. The midfielder has been with Twente since 2022, when he joined from PSV, and has made 126 appearances for the club. He still has a contract with Twente until the summer of 2027.

Kjølø will reportedly join Rosenborg, where he will face off against former AZ player Jonas Svensson, who is now the captain of the Norwegian club.
