Reijnders, 28, completed a lucrative switch to Al Qadsiah following the arrival of new City boss Enzo Maresca, with the club meeting City's £60million valuation without issue. The Dutchman has since opened up on his motives behind the move, stating that money played a significant part in his decision. "Money definitely plays a part in it. After my football career ends, I don't want to work again," Reijnders told Dutch outlet Voetbalzone. He added that security was also a priority, saying: "I won't lie about it, if my grandchildren can live off this, then why shouldn't I?" Reijnders has since netted six goals for his new club and has been called up by Netherlands manager Xavi for the upcoming international matches.
