Sydney van Hooijdonk, 26, is returning to the Eredivisie. He will join PEC Zwolle for the remainder of the season. Van Hooijdonk previously made a free transfer move from NAC Breda to Estrela Amadora in January. PEC have taken the striker on loan for a season, with a realistic option to buy included in the negotiations. He could make his debut for the club as early as this Friday against Sparta Rotterdam. Van Hooijdonk has a notable past, having played for Bologna, Cesena, Norwich City, and sc Heerenveen, where he scored 26 goals in 54 appearances.
