According to BBC Football, Suzuki's performance against Spurs suggests he is more than capable of filling the boots vacated by Emiliano Martinez's departure to Chelsea. Villa boss Unai Emery praised Suzuki's performance, saying: "We needed the keeper." He added: "He is a keeper to save us. To make sure in the goal he has the quality and then he has the skills to play and build up."
